HOUSTON, TX (South Ellington) – July 1, 2026

The Southeast Fire Department is very pleased and proud to announce the hiring of Kevin Reilly as the first full-time Fire Chief. Kevin comes to the department as a native of Guam, enlisting in the Coast Guard Reserve in 2003 to serve both his island community and his nation. Along with many accomplishments throughout his 21-year career, he has remained with his home unit through multiple organizational transitions, including the evolution from MSO Guam to Sector Guam, and later to Forces Micronesia/Sector Guam.

In his civilian capacity, MSTCS Reilly has served with distinction in the Guam Fire Department since 1998, where he held the rank of Fire Captain. His diverse experience includes roles as Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technician, Public Information Officer, Fire Chief’s Aide, and Drone Operations Commander.

Senior Chief Reilly’s military and civilian awards include the Coast Guard Commendation Medal, Coast Guard Achievement Medal, Marine Safety Insignia, Operations Ashore Insignia, GFD Silver Star, GFD Distinguished Service Medal, GFD Meritorious Service Medal, and numerous other personal awards.
